Examination Copies

U.S. Professors:

Perseus is pleased to provide complimentary examination copies for professors in the U.S. who wish to consider a title for course use.

To request an examination copy, you must provide your name, shipping address, phone, exam copy author/title/ISBN, university name, course name and enrollment, semester, and current texts. For faster service, e-mail your request to examcopies2006@perseusbooks.com. An on-line request form is available through this website by selecting “Request Exam Copy” on a per title basis.

The complimentary examination copies are not charged shipping or handling. All examination copies are shipped via UPS Ground (delivery time is five to ten business days). We cannot ship to P.O. Boxes, APO/FPO addresses. For all rush requests, please fax our Customer Service Department:

Examination copies are yours to keep whether you adopt the book for your course or not. They cannot be returned for credit.

Desk Copies

Professors are entitled to (1) free desk copy of each adopted title:

Please submit your desk copy request on school letterhead and provide the bookstore’s adoption order information, the name of the course, enrollment, and shipping information.

UK and European Lecturers:

For all UK and Europe inspection copies contact: enquiries@perseusbooks.co.uk.

Please send requests on your institution’s headed paper, stating course title(s), date of commencement, and anticipated number of students. We are pleased to send paperback books (maximum 3) to lecturers to consider for course use. You will also be sent a questionnaire to complete. After 28 days you should return the completed questionnaire.

Canadian Professors:

Please send your examination copy requests to examcopies2006@perseusbooks.com or fax to 800-351-5073. Please include the title and ISBN of the book, your institutional shipping address, phone number, and title and enrollment of the course.

Back Order Policy

If you place an examination request for a book that has not yet been published, we will hold the request for up to eighteen months. If the book is not available after eighteen months, the request will automatically be cancelled.

Additionally, you can choose to cancel your own order at any time by contacting our Customer Service Department:

Once an online request has been made, it can only be cancelled by phone.

If a book is cancelled after you made a request, you will receive a written notice of the cancellation notifying you that the request has been cancelled.
